Cold December Morning Perfect For A Downtown Denver Datacenter Decom!

Sports and Entertainment Giant Recruits Generator Source For Decommissioning Of Cummins Standby Generator

Our team was at it early on this chilly, late December day in downtown Denver. They were finishing up a decommissioning project on a smaller 35 kW Cummins natural gas generator as the sports and entertainment company was busy relocating one of their datacenters. That's right, we not only sell, service and rent generators, but our field services teams can also manage decom projects of all sizes. We travel all over the country and even places like Puerto Rico to tackle large jobs, but this smaller project was closer to headquarters, just a quick drive, so why not document it?

Levi-2-(Custom).jpgWith the company having already upgraded their generator for the new location with our sales team, all that was left was to sell off their older Cummins and we were happy to help with the purchase and decommissioning.

"There's nothing like an early winter morning in the shade in downtown Denver for this project today," said our Generator Source technician. "We will use the service truck's small crane to lift the Cummins unit over the fence and into the bed of the truck. This unit weighs about 5,000 pounds, so we should be good."

Our technician checked the unit, finding about four bolts still remained and tackled those before attempting to lift the unit. Then it was clear sailing over the chain-link fence and landing softly in the service truck bed. The unit will now travel to Generator Source headquarters in Brighton, Colorado where our team of technicians will perform required maintenance, any repairs and overall, give the unit a clean bill of health with our 31-point inspection process, before it appears in our inventory.

Do you have a working generator that you need to sell? Read how it works here, or reach out to a purchasing representative at (844) 205-0632. When you contact them for a review, please try to include any additional options, service history (if known) and general condition of the generator to expedite the process. And remember, we have offices in Colorado, Texas and Florida, but will travel all over for large decom projects too!
